Travel Program Information

At the heart of our Travel Soccer Program lies a commitment to holistic player development, sportsmanship, and community engagement. We believe in nurturing young athletes not only as skilled soccer players but also as individuals who embody teamwork, resilience, and a passion for the sport. The travel program consists of two separate seasons, in the Fall and Spring/Summer.

Skill Development: Our program focuses on enhancing individual and team skills through structured training sessions and competitive gameplay. Players have the chance to improve their technical abilities, tactical understanding, and overall soccer IQ under the guidance of experienced coaches.

Competitive Environment: Travel Soccer provides a competitive platform where players can test their skills against teams from different regions. This exposure fosters growth, resilience, and sportsmanship, preparing players for higher levels of competition.

Team Bonding: Joining a travel team strengthens camaraderie among players. Through shared experiences, teamwork on and off the field is cultivated, creating lasting friendships and a supportive team culture.

Physical Fitness: Regular training and match play contribute to improved endurance, coordination, and strength.

Life Skills: Soccer teaches valuable life skills such as discipline, time management, resilience in the face of adversity, and the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.

Fun and Enjoyment: Travel Soccer offers a fun and enjoyable experience for players who are passionate about the sport.

As a reminder, players will move up to the next age group starting the Fall season. For example, U11 players move to U12 and so on.

Registration Deadline: Sunday, July 21, 2024

The Fall season is a shorter season, beginning in mid-September and ending in mid-October. Games are typically scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays with practices one or two days throughout the week. Team coaches and mangers will coordinate schedules based on both the coach and player availability. Additional details regarding the schedule will be communicated once teams are formed.

There are no try-outs for the fall program. Teams are formed based on the registrations received and the Sartell Soccer Association's Director of Coaching will communicate team placements by the middle of August.

As we gear up for another year, we're thrilled to announce our 2025 Spring season tryout schedule along with a new partnership with Skillmasters, a comprehensive player evaluation system designed to objectively assess and analyze various facets of a player's abilities. It goes beyond traditional evaluations by providing a holistic view of a player's technical, tactical, and cognitive skills. The Skillmasters team will be on-site, conducting player evaluations during tryouts

Skillmasters Evaluation: Skillmasters will be conducting evaluations onsite to provide a holistic view of each player's technical, tactical, and cognitive skills. For more information about Skillmasters, please visit their website here.

While tryouts are intended for the Spring 2025 season, conducting them in the summer supports the coordination of fall teams, coach assignments, and roster finalization in preparation for winter training. Holding tryouts during this window also allows us to avoid conflicts with school sports seasons, hoping that families can commit to the tryout process without competing obligations.

If your child is interested in playing this Fall or for the 2025 Spring/Summer season, we kindly ask you to register them for the upcoming tryout session corresponding to their birth year.

Registration Fees:

  • For ages U9 to U12 (2015-2012 birth years), there is a $50 deposit required when registering for tryouts.

  • For ages U13 and above (2011 birth year and older), the deposit is $75.

Breakdown of Fees:

  • A $15 non-refundable tryout fee is included in the deposit. This fee covers the cost associated with Skillmasters, our comprehensive player evaluation system.

  • The remaining $35 (for U9-U12) or $60 (for U13+) of the deposit serves as a roster deposit and is part of your overall registration fee.
