Spring/Summer Goalkeeper Training

Goalkeeper Training with "The Goalie Guy" Tommy Schmidt!

Train Like a Pro – Improve Your Skills!
Join us for specialized goalkeeping training led by professional coach Tommy Schmidt! Whether you're a new goalkeeper looking to learn the fundamentals or an experienced GK aiming to refine your technique, these sessions are for you!


About Coach Tommy Schmidt

Tommy Schmidt has dedicated his career to developing goalkeepers of all ages and skill levels. He played as a goalkeeper at the collegiate level before entering coaching. For the past four years, he has trained goalkeepers across Central Minnesota, including two who have been part of MYSA state championship teams and several area high school varsity keepers.

Tommy is the current Goalkeeper Coach for the College of St. Benedict’s NCAA D3 soccer team and holds Level 1 & 2 Goalkeeping certifications through United Soccer Coaches, with Level 3 licensing currently in progress.

Clinic Details:

When: Sunday Evenings
Where: Indoor Facility (April Sessions) & Pinecone Central Park Fields (May-June Sessions)
Who: New Goalkeepers (less than 2 years of experience) or U9/10: 4:00 PM – 5:15 PM
Experienced Goalkeepers or U13+: 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM

Session Dates & Costs:

🔹 Round 1:
March 30, April 6, April 13, April 27, May 4, May 11
Cost: $90/player (Increased due to indoor facility costs in April)

🔹 Round 2:
June 1, June 8, June 15, June 22, June 29
Cost: $75/player

2025 Final Tryout & Summer Travel Registration

Thank you for registering for Sartell Soccer Association's 2025 Tryouts and Spring/Summer travel season. This registration session will allow you to complete Tryout registration, enter contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa or MasterCard information available.
 
Following the completion of tryouts and team placement families will receive team registration information, winter training schedules, and other information about the upcoming season.
 
The first round of tryouts were held July 29 and 30. The second and final tryout will be held on the afternoon of November 2. Specific times by age group will be listed on our website.

Tryout registration includes a non-refundable $75 deposit.

Summer travel games will be played primarily on weeknights, starting in early May and concluding in early July. There are approximately 10 regular league games per team. Each team will have the opportunity to participate in at least 2 tournaments during the season and the option to attend league championships in July. In addition, weekly practices may be 1 to 3 nights a week depending on the coach and age level of the teams.

2025 Summer Recreation

Welcome to the registration page for the co-ed 2025 Summer Recreation Program.
Players born between 2015 and 2020 are eligible to play.

When:
  • Tuesday evenings, June 3rd through July 22nd (Excluding July 4th week)

Where:
  • Pine Meadow Primary School, Sartell

Sessions:
  • 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. (Pre-K, K, and 1st grades)
  • 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. (2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades)

Cost:
  • $100 (Includes a t-shirt)

Times: 
  • 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. (Pre-K, K, and 1st grades)
  • 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. (2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades)

Registration closes on May 5th. No exceptions.
Please consider coaching your player's team (free registration). You'll receive assistance from high school players, provided equipment, and access to the MOJO Sports app with lesson plans. Check out the coach's corner and view sample plans on the recreation page.
